Gem and Mineral Show. Also, nearly 100,000 people visit the city for the Festival of Books, which honors special guests such as Elmore Leonard and J.A. Jance. The Fourth Avenue Street Fair in the late spring lets you pick up artwork and other local crafts. Tucson has two shoulder seasons that run from April and May and then from September through October. All Souls Processional Weekend in November is one of the largest festivals in the entire state.
Head Outdoors
Saguaro National Park is just one of the outdoor attractions in Tucson that you shouldn't miss. This large national park is the perfect place to take photos with cacti and explore the dusty trails. Tucson Mountain Park is a little closer and is home to a movie studio that shot dozens of Hollywood films. Between the state historical society and the Fort Lowell Museum, you can learn more about Tucson than you ever expected.
