The National Football League kicks off its new season this weekend as clearly the most popular sports league in America. With 32 NFL teams spread across 30 cities (some have two teams), that’s a lot of traveling around the country as fans check out these games week in and week out. Which brings us to timeshares.
Fans love to travel to watch their teams play, especially if your team is visiting a city for the first time in a while. Because of the way the NFL schedules are designed, some teams go years before visiting certain cities due to the conference and division alignments.
Are you thinking about heading out to see your team play on the road, and you have some timeshare points or the use of your timeshare is still available? If so, check out these timeshare resorts near NFL cities to see if you can use it to see your favorite team on the road this season.
Below are the teams in the NFL listed in alphabetical order (what other reason would we have to show the Cardinals first. Sorry Arizona fans, but you know it’s true). Along with these teams are the timeshares either in or near those cities.
Some timeshare resort locations may be some distance away, but since you have already paid for the accommodation it may be worth the extra travel time to stay in the timeshare, then head to the game.
The Cardinals play in Glendale near Phoenix. While Glendale is northwest of downtown Phoenix, it is also accessible from Scottsdale, where a number of timeshare resorts are located.

The Falcons play in downtown Atlanta, so it’s relatively easy to enjoy the game and the town on a Sunday when the brutal traffic of the area isn’t as bad as during the week. Unless it is a Monday or Thursday night game. Fortunately, Club Wyndham Atlanta is right in town and within walking distance to the stadium.

To see the Ravens play you’ll need to use reward points as there are no timeshares specifically located in Baltimore. The great part about timeshare ownership is that, depending on what you own, you can use points or exchange companies for options. Marriott Bonvoy points or Hilton Honors points should work. Otherwise, you could try Wyndham National Harbor which is about 43 miles away.

Buffalo is one of the trickier spots since there are no timeshares. However, depending on the time of year and managing the fickle Buffalo weather, you could try staying at a resort in western New York or at a camping facility, many of which have cabins onsite. An exchange company may be able to help, as there are some campgrounds not far from Orchard Park, where the Bills play.

The Panthers play in Charlotte, North Carolina and, while we are unaware of any timeshares specifically in Charlotte, there are resorts in western North Carolina that could work. Especially during fall foliage season.

One of the original NFL franchises dating back to 1920, the Bears have a loyal following but there is always a way for visiting fans to get tickets these days.
Timeshare Resorts in Chicago: Hilton Grand Vacations Chicago, Hotel Blake (Bluegreen)
While there are no timeshares in Cincinnati, points owners can always try converting some of their points to rewards points to use at hotels near the stadium. Try Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors points and see what they offer.

Similar to the earlier post, there are no timeshares in Cleveland, but the good news is that Ohio has a number of excellent campgrounds so you may be able to exchange into one of them to see your team play. Depending on the time of year, of course. Otherwise try using rewards points.
Campground Resorts Near Cleveland: Rocky Fork Ranch Resort, Wally World Camping Resort
Texas is loaded with timeshare resorts, but you’ll need to look closely to find one close to Dallas since most are on the Gulf Coast or further south toward Austin or San Antonio. The closest is Tanglewood Resort, about 1 ½ hours north in Pottsboro on the Red River. Otherwise, the Holiday Inn timeshares below are near recreational lakes about 2 hours away.
Timeshare Resorts Near Dallas: Holiday Inn Club Vacations Holly Lake Ranch, Holiday Inn Club Vacations Villages, Holiday Inn Club Vacations Lake O' The Woods
Denver is truly the entry point to the Rockies, but there are no timeshares in town. The closest towns would be Winter Park & Fraser (just over an hour away) and Breckenridge (about 1.5 hours) since the timeshares are usually developed closer to the mountains or in popular sky towns. It would be a great way to combine a trip to the Rocky Mountains with a football game.
Timeshare Resorts Near Denver: Grand Timber Lodge (Breckenridge), Twin Rivers Condominiums (Fraser), Silverado II (Winter Park)
While the majority of the timeshare resorts are in the northern and western parts of Michigan, there is a place about an hour out of Detroit with excellent facilities that would be a gem of a location: Waldenwoods Resort

This NFL outpost may be more famous for the “frozen tundra” of Lambeau Field, but there are actually timeshare resorts in the general vicinity. Egg Harbor is about an hour away and, depending on the time of year, could be a great getaway.
Timeshare Resorts Near Green Bay: The Landing Resort, Meadow Ridge of Door County, Shell Vacations Club at Little Sweden (Fish Creek)
Several timeshare resorts are in the Houston vicinity, but primarily in the Galveston or Lake Conroe areas – both excellent vacation destinations in their own right and each about an hour from the stadium.
Timeshare Resorts Near Houston: Holiday Inn Club Vacations Seaside Resort, Holiday Inn Club Vacations Galveston Beach Resort (both in Galveston), Landing at Seven Coves (Lake Conroe)
The home of world-renowned timeshare exchange company RCI, ironically there are no timeshares in Indy. The closets ones would be in Nashville (Indiana, that is, about an hour away) or French Lick (the home of NBA Hall of Famer Larry Bird about 2 hours away). Might be better off using RCI to stay in town.
Closest Timeshare Resorts to Indianapolis: Hotel Nashville, French Lick Spring Villas
This underrated NFL town was, believe it or not, the host for Super Bowl 39 in 2005. Credit the game to the new stadium that was rebuilt a few years earlier, but the town has done reasonably well supporting the team. With no timeshares in Jax (again, check those rewards points), the amazing historic town of St. Augustine is just 45 minutes south of town and a definite possibility with timeshares.
Timeshare Resorts Near Jacksonville: Bluegreen Resort's Grande Villas at World Golf Village, Beach Club at Saint Augustine
Okay, admittedly this is a stretch so work with me on this one. True, there are no timeshares in KC, but Osage Beach and the Lakes of the Ozarks region is one of the best vacation spots in the Midwest. About 2.5 hours from the stadium, you could build a wonderful getaway around taking in the game (especially if it’s an early Sunday kickoff start).
Closest Timeshare Resorts to Kansas City: Wyndham Lake of the Ozarks, WorldMark Lake of the Ozarks, Lakewood Resort
Now we’re talking! Since the Oakland Raiders moved to Las Vegas in 2020, this has been one of the hottest road trips on the NFL schedule. The stadium is on the southern side of town near the airport, so it tends to favor resorts on the southern end of The Strip.
Timeshare Resorts Close to the Raiders Stadium: Hilton Polo Towers Suites, Marriott's Grande Chateau, Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Elara, Bluegreen Resort's Club 36
The Chargers and Rams both share SoFi Stadium in Inglewood southwest of downtown LA near the airport, so there will be NFL football in town every week of the season. Anaheim is the closest collection of timeshare resorts to the stadium, about 30 miles away, so you could combine a trip to Disneyland with an NFL game. Can’t get much better than that!

Imagine combining a trip to South Beach with watching your favorite NFL team play the Dolphins. Especially in December. The stadium is inland about 25 minutes from South Beach, but with the sun and fun awaiting you probably won’t mind.
Timeshare Resorts Near Miami: Hilton Grand Vacations Club at McAlpin Ocean Plaza, Marriott Vacation Club South Beach, Crescent Resort on South Beach
Another cold weather team without timeshares nearby, as most of the timeshare resorts in the state are geared toward the abundant lakes throughout the state that appeal more toward outdoor, warmer weather enthusiasts. With that said, there are a couple of options about an hour and a half from town.
Closest Timeshare Resorts to Minneapolis: Willows on the River (Lake City), The Village at Izatys (Onamia)
The Patriots play in Foxborough, which is about 30 miles from Boston. It is actually closer to Providence, RI, so you have some flexibility in timeshare locations, whether it is in Boston, Rhode Island or even on Cape Cod (Falmouth is about 60 miles from the stadium).
Timeshare Resorts Near Foxborough: Marriott's Custom House (Boston), Beachside Village (Falmouth), Wyndham Newport Onshore (Newport, RI)
The French Quarter never takes a time out, so this is a perfect place to combine the fun of an NFL game with the party atmosphere of the Quarter. The Superdome is southwest of the Quarter so perhaps a location in the Warehouse District or Garden District would give better access to the stadium.
Timeshare Resorts closer to the Superdome: Wyndham La Belle Maison, Bluegreen Club La Pension, Wyndham New Orleans at Avenue Plaza Hotel & Pro Spa
Because the Jets and the Giants both share MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, you’re probably going to need a taxi, Uber or subway ride from your New York timeshare to get to the stadium. Unless you choose to brave the traffic and drive yourself. Regardless, seeing the NFL on display in the Big Apple combined with the legendary activities in the city is a bucket list trip.
Timeshares in New York: Wyndham Midtown 45 at New York City, Hilton Grand Vacations Club at The Hilton Club, Marriott Vacation Club Pulse New York City
Timeshares haven’t shown much brotherly love to Philly, as there are no timeshare accommodations in town but primarily up near the Poconos. Other than using rewards points to stay in a hotel, you could stay in one of the Atlantic City timeshares below and make the one hour drive in for the game.
Timeshare Resorts Near Philadelphia: Marriott's Fairway Villas, Wyndham Skyline Tower, Fantasea Resorts Flagship Resort
This one may be a bit of a surprise, but there is an option in Pittsburgh and fairly close to the stadium. Club Wyndham members will need to use Wyndham Rewards points for this one, but the hotel is just across the Allegheny River from the stadium.
Timeshare stays in Pittsburgh: Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh
What better way to see San Francisco than to combine a vacation with watching your favorite NFL team play the Niners. The issue isn’t finding a San Francisco timeshare, it is more about the travel to nearby Santa Clara, since the Niners moved out of town and into their new stadium in 2014. The trip from downtown south to the stadium is about 40 miles.
Timeshare Resorts in San Francisco: Wyndham Canterbury at San Francisco, San Francisco Suites on Nob Hill, Powell Place City
In town near the I-5/I-90 interchange, you can get to the stadium from just about anywhere in the area. The stadium is on the southern edge of downtown, so it’s the opposite side of town from Pike Place Market and the Space Needle, but easy enough to get around in a taxi or Uber.
Timeshare Resort in Seattle: WorldMark The Camlin
The Bucs play just north of downtown in more of a suburban-type setting, but the timeshare resorts are in areas such as Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach that are more tailored to visitors. Travel time would be about 40 minutes to the stadium, but the beaches are spectacular so it’s well worth the visit.

The Titans play in Nashville with the stadium just across the river from downtown, which makes it easy to enjoy the honky tonks on Broadway after the game.
Timeshare Resorts in Nashville: Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham Nashville (downtown), Wyndham Nashville (about 10 miles out near the Grand Ol Opry).
Since the team formerly known as the Redskins plays out of town at FedEx Field in Landover, MD, you may want to find a timeshare resort closer to the stadium, which is just off the Beltway on the eastern side of the loop. Fortunately, there are a couple of great choices that are just down I-495 from the stadium, yet near Metro access where you can still get the subway into D.C.
