This property boasts nearly 400 rooms and is within 10 miles of most of Myrtle Beach's top attractions. This is a popular timeshare property that tends to fill up fast, so owners should make your booking as soon as possible.
One of the main draws of this property is that most of its buildings are located on the beach. It consists of large, villa-type rooms that were recently updated. Each villa includes a full-size kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making them convenient and comfortable.
On the grounds you'll find multiple indoor and outdoor pools as well as plenty of on-site games. There's a playground, activities center and kids' club for young guests and a spacious, well-equipped fitness center. Self-parking and Wi-Fi access are free.
Situated on a beautiful stretch of sand, this Marriott timeshare is a part of Grande Dunes, which is a master-planned community in Myrtle Beach. Broadway on the Beach is only six miles away and you can walk to the Northwood Plaza Shopping Center in 15 minutes. About two miles from the resort you'll find several golf courses as well as a mini-golf course.
Within 10 miles of the resort, you can visit the NASCAR Speedpark and the Family Kingdom Amusement Park, both of which are huge hits with visitors. If you plan to cook in your villa, you'll discover a Food Lion grocery store approximately one mile from the resort.
Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes definitely has a family-friendly vibe. The main attraction is the outdoor pool complex, which includes five pools. These include the free-flowing Woodsy Pool, which also boasts a zero-entry play area for little ones, and a Seaside Pool that has both upper and lower levels.
The Serenity Pool is intended to be a quieter alternative, but there's also a separate Children's Pool with a play area, water features and a waterslide.
If you prefer an indoor pool, you'll want to take advantage of the heated lap pool. There's an impressively large outdoor hot tub in addition to an indoor sauna, steam room and hot tub. These are definitely where you'll want to be on a cool, rainy day.
Guests who like to stay in shape will love the spacious, well-lit and thoroughly equipped fitness center. It boasts a combination of weights and cardio machines so that you can indulge in whatever type of workout you prefer.
For the kids, there is an especially enticing outdoor playground. The central feature is a treehouse-style structure that is three stories tall. Children love the green tube slide that runs from the top of the structure.
If your family loves to play together, this is the resort for you. Opportunities for table tennis, family bingo nights, beach volleyball, bocce ball, basketball and shuffleboard abound around the resort. There's a kids' activity center that's filled with toys and games in addition to a fire pit area and BBQ grills.
Food and drink options are onsite as well, with the Sand Dollar Grille serving up American cuisine in a casual beachfront dining experience. Check out the Sand Dollar Pool Bar for refreshments or The Woodsy Grill & Pool Bar for quick cuisine. Snack options are at the Marketplace Express.
Guests can also make reservations at the Hibiscus Spa for massages and treatments on the adjacent sister property, Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa.
Sunny and bright, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom villas at this Myrtle Beach timeshare resort are the perfect rooms for families and groups. All of the villas have a beach theme that is relaxing, and the rooms recently were updated so everything is new and inviting.
In each villa at Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes, you'll find a master bedroom that's equipped with a king-sized bed. The second bedroom has two queen-sized beds while the living room boasts a sofa bed. Rooms have private balconies with either a view of the ocean or a lush garden.
You'll enjoy all of the comforts of home in these well-equipped condominium-style rooms. A washer and dryer are located in-unit, and your full-size kitchen has everything you need to prepare complete family meals. A conventional oven with stove, refrigerator with icemaker, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and coffee pot are just the beginning of the amenities.
Satellite television service is available on the three flat-screen televisions, and high-speed Internet access is readily on hand. You may request a DVD player and additional silverware if you need them.
Having two bathrooms in each unit is certainly a welcome and convenient touch. The bath in the master bedroom is particularly well equipped with an oversized tub and a separate shower. It further boasts a pair of sinks and beautiful countertops done in granite. The second bath is smaller but sufficient with a shower/tub combo and a single sink.
Myrtle Beach is an ideal place for a family getaway. The sand on its beaches is compact enough for bike riding while the surf is pleasant, relatively calm and clear.
Of course, the top attraction here is Myrtle Beach itself. The approximately 60 miles of coastline known as the Grand Strand is a wonderland for swimming and playing. In certain spots, you can enjoy deep-sea fishing or jet skiing, but other places are ideal for family play time.
For a quieter experience, head over to Huntington Beach State Park. This three-mile stretch of coastline boasts trails for hiking and biking as well as a nature center and picnic areas. Bird watchers love the salt marsh, and this also is where you can visit Atalaya Castle, a Moorish-style home that provides a fascinating look into the life of the industrialist Archer Milton Huntington.
Nearby is the Brookgreen Gardens, which was founded by the Huntington family. In addition to a sculpture garden, the complex includes the Lowcountry Zoo, an education center, numerous nature trails and more.
Most visitors make their way to Broadway at the Beach at least once during their stay in their Myrtle Beach timeshare. It's a vast outdoor entertainment complex that's filled with restaurants, stores and more. Be sure to ride the Ferris wheel and visit popular tourist attractions like the Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center and Ripley's Aquarium.
Concerts and a variety of other live performances regularly are presented at the various theaters. There's even a comedy club and a piano bar. If you visit during the summer, you'll be treated to fireworks on at least a couple of nights each week.
The Mt. Atlanticus Miniature Golf Course is one of the best in a city that boasts more than its fair share of these entertainment venues. This is a particularly imaginative example, complete with a mountain and challenging obstacles like caves and waterfalls.
In all, there are 36 holes spread across two courses. Try for a hole-in-one at the 19th hole to win free rounds of mini-golf for life. At the top of the 75-foot mountain, you can catch an impressive view of the ocean.
From mini-golf to real golf, Myrtle Beach is a destination like no other. More than 80 courses are found in the surrounding region, and you'll discover that many of them were designed by some very recognizable names such as Greg Norman, Robert Trent Jones, Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer.
The Dye Course at the Barefoot Resort & Golf property is probably the most challenging one in the area, but if you're more focused on views, you'll want to play the Norman Course, which features a handful of holes right on the Intracoastal Waterway.
Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes provides an escape for families that is at once exciting and relaxing. Spend the day at the resort to soak up the sun, play in the waves or the pool or enjoy some quiet time with the family. On other days, you'll want to explore the many attractions for which Myrtle Beach is known. This deluxe resort is your host to it all.
