The Hyatt Windward Pointe Residence Club has one of the best locations on the island of Key West, FL for a vacation. With panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and access to the soft white sand of Smathers Beach, you couldn’t ask for more. But with a Hyatt timeshare, you get so much more.
The resort is a beautiful colonial style with a contemporary touch. It is highlighted by arches and balconies for your ocean viewing pleasure. The grounds are spacious for walking, relaxing, and playing games on the lawn like badminton and shuffleboard.
The best feature is the pool that makes you feel as relaxed as possible. And since you're next to the ocean, the many water sports and other beach activities are available to you and your family.
Start with your home-away-from-home in a two-bedroom condominium. The décor is plantation-style with upscale features. You will enjoy the walk-in shower and jetted tub from the master bedroom and the other bedroom has a queen bed and a full bath. Both bedrooms have flat-screen TVs with Blu-ray players, cable, and satellite channels. The spacious living room has a sofa bed.
With a fully equipped kitchen and separate dining area, you can enjoy cooking at home and reduce your vacation budget even further. The amenities include a TV and Blu-Ray Disc player in the living room, a furnished balcony that is large enough to eat al fresco if you prefer, and free wireless Internet.
One special feature that is truly amazing is each balcony has a telescope for stargazing. It’s great for avid stargazers, and if you have never done it before, this is your chance to see why it is so awe-inspiring.
Some, but not all, of the amenities for your comfort and convenience include:
• Iron and ironing board
• Hair dryer
• Washing machine and dryer
• Refrigerator
• Microwave
• Coffee maker
• Dishwasher
• Conventional oven with stove top
• Safe
• Individual climate control
Your Hyatt timeshare resale is designed like a first-class holiday condo, but it is actually your private vacation home. You are guaranteed a wonderful vacation in Key West every year without the hassle of managing and maintaining a private vacation home. Your suite is clean and ready when you arrive.
Hyatt Windward Pointe is a fully accessible property. People with disabilities and elderly people who find it difficult to walk are well cared for and can access every part of the resort, including the grounds and pool.
Located near the pool is Abbey Road Snack Shack. It is open every day. Monday – Saturday it serves breakfast from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. except for Sundays, and lunch or dinner from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. every day.
Along with meals and snacks, you will find a small shop where you can pick up some essential things you forgot or get an attractive Key West souvenir. There are many more dining opportunities just a few steps from the resort.
You can barbecue in the beautiful gardens near the gorgeous pool, and play outdoor billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard, and foosball.
For deep relaxation don’t forget the many spa treatments and experiences available at the residence club.
Hyatt Windward Pointe has everything you need for a relaxing vacation, but if you need an adrenalin rush, there are plenty of things you can do. Just ask the concierge to help you book activities and get reservations and information about what is available on the island.
Start with Parasailing. You will fly high above the ocean while attached to a parachute and being towed by a motorboat.
Your concierge can also arrange Jet-ski tours with no end of thrills, scooter rentals, and sunset sails. Water sports are the main attraction for seekers of an adrenalin rush.
While golf may not be considered high adventure for all, for some it is the cornerstone of a great vacation. Golfers won’t be disappointed in Key West with championship golf courses available.
Scuba diving and snorkeling are favorite activities throughout the Florida Keys, but Key West has some of the best spots. Sand Key has the longest-living coral reef in the western hemisphere, and it is a diver’s paradise. Gorgeous coral in all shapes and sizes, 600 varieties of brilliantly colored fish, and many other marine residents will watch you just as much as you watch them. Look for sea turtles, stingrays, and many more.
Nearby is Western Dry Rocks where a tug sunk in 75 feet of water. You can swim around the wreck and see how the wildlife and plants are making it their own.
If you enjoy fishing, especially deep-sea fishing, Key West has some of the best. You need a larger and faster boat if you are going for the big one and it will take you past the natural barrier reef to the Gulf Stream. You will need live bait and special lures. Don’t worry, everything will be provided by one of the many boat charter companies and your concierge at Hyatt Windward Pointe can arrange it for you.
Sunset is a major moment on this island because there is nothing but water between you and the setting sun. It presents some spectacular views and is celebrated every day. You can take a sunset cruise, have drinks and dinner and enjoy the peace you never imagined, or remain on land to capture the sunset.
The Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square is the most popular free activity on the island. Every night starting at about one and a half hours before sunset, local artists selling crafts, paintings, and sculptures, street entertainers with music and acrobatics, and food and drink vendors gather at Mallory Square. It’s like a party every night with the most spectacular backdrop in the world.
Key West has attracted the rich and famous for over a century. Some of the buildings hold special historical significance such as Harry S. Truman’s Little White House and The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum.
Hemingway and his wife moved into the Spanish Colonial-style mansion in 1931, and it still has many of their personal effects and objects d’art they collected from their travels. An avid hunter, there is plenty of Hemingway’s animal trophies, but also live decedents from his six-toed cat.
In 1890, The Little White House was the headquarters of the command of the naval station during the Spanish-American War. It was also a command station during the first and second World Wars. Harry S. Truman started using it as a place to rest and unwind in 1946 during his presidency.
The Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center is one of the best places to visit for family entertainment and education. There are interactive exhibits, a 2,500-gallon reef tank, and a complete mockup of Aquarius - the only underwater ocean laboratory. You can experience several marine habitats including coral reefs, mangrove shorelines, seagrass flats, and upland pine.
Just minutes from your Key West timeshare is the party center of the island. Duval Street is a big attraction and is definitely worth a visit. It runs north and south across the island between the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean. The street is loaded with cafes, bars, restaurants, galleries, and endless shops.
It is also lined with beautiful Victorian Mansions that have been carefully preserved. The buoy marker for the southernmost point in the United States is just one block west of the southern end of this world-famous street.
Key West is a fabulous place for an annual vacation, and a Hyatt timeshare at Windward Pointe is a terrific way to guarantee your escape to the Keys. Even if you’d like to vacation at a different location, you can do that, too, through exchange – either internally through Hyatt or through exchange provider Interval International.
